The front top reads, "Dedicated by the Baden Bakers' Guild Association." Below the lions, it reads, "In remembrance / The Baden bakers mourns its commendabel chairman baker-Meister / Karl Bottner" and his wife Elise, both of whom were killed on 23 February, 1945. It goes on to read: "[we also mourn] all those Pforzheim colleagues and their families who were killed in the air raid of 23 February, 1945 / and their unforgettable colleagues who lost their lives in the fierce struggle of the Second World War 1939-1945." |
